Turn 1. Confederate Move

The Rebs have moved from Staunton to HarrisonBurg, Buffalo Gap to West Augusta, and have concentrated at Conrad Store with a force moving from Ruckersville to Rose River.

Shenandoah Campaign.

Time for some continuity in our gaming at the club.

The campaign is using the Columbia Game Shenadoah block game as the mechanics for the campaign but we'll be fighting the battles with my 10mm ACW figures.

Commands will be allocated soon to the 6 generals but their identities will be kept secret from each other until the campaign progresses.

I'll publish battle reports when there is table top action but to wet one's appetite here is a map with the starting positions.

Classical Greeks

It's been a while since I've posted anything but I've been a busy lad. Four armies painted.

Here are a few pictures of my FoG Greek army for BayFog. This is a 900 point competition with no superior or elite troops allowed in the army.

Change of plan

The army lists have been changed for the May FoG competition and the Later Hungarians are not on them. : 0

So I've decided to go with Dominate Romans. I've always fancied a Roman army and the later Romans have such a variation in shield patterns so its an obvious choice. Plus the army is very tasty too. The figures from Legio Heroica arrive this morning and are splendid so watch this space.

Joe Bonamassa

Went to see Mr. B Sunday night at Metro Arena. Front row seats. What a fantastic performance generally played on Paul Kossof's old Les Paul. Always a great gig. Looking forwards to seeing him again.

10mm Fire and Fury

Starting 29th of March I'm putting on a 4 week ACW game,The Battle of  Chickamauga, at Durham Wargames Group.With over 300 bases of figures needed for the battle I need to paint up a few more bases plus to make the game more photogenic I've painted some disorder, low on ammunition and wrecked battery tokens.

Later Hungarian FoG army

My first challenge this spring is to paint an 800 point army for a Fog weekend at Durham Wargames Group, at the end of May. I have most of the figures on hand although some may not be 100% accurate it gives me an opportunity to paint some figures I've had for years. 10 weeks is not a bad time scale to finish the army but I do have 4 other projects on the go at the moment. So we'll just have to see how it goes.
